As seen in the Seattle PI:
“Seattle’s annual Fashion First show has an eclectic lineup walking the runway at the Showbox SoDo Thursday night. One of them wants to be a senator from Washington state, and the others might have written you speeding tickets at one point.
Senate hopeful Dino Rossi will walk the runway with eight officers and two assistant chiefs from the Seattle Police Department, according to event organizers. Other local notables participating include Leigh Canlis from the Seattle’s Canlis Glass.
Captain Keith Colburn from the Discovery Channel show “Deadliest Catch” will also be in attendance. (More on that later.)
“Our mission this year was clear,” said Fashion First Executive Director Joan Kelly. “The Seattle area has seen over 25 locally-owned retail shops close in the past 2 years. Since Seattleites thrive on independence and individuality, it’s vital that the community supports the diversity and style that these shops bring our city.”
This year’s show benefits Rise n’ Shine, a non-profit that supports children affected by HIV and AIDS.
Colburn from “Deadliest Catch” recently let a videographer with Fashion First document his pre-event grooming appointments. To see how he looked before, check out this story we ran last week.”
SWO was on the news! Did you miss it on King 5? Well then check it out here at Seattle Mom’s Deal Finder in the Sept. 7th video!
